Sri Nookambica Ammavari Temple is a famous temple in Visakhapatnam, huge number of devotees visit this temple on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and sundays to get the blessings of the goddess. Daily Regular Poojas, Archanas and Deeparadhanas are performed in this temple. Devotees believe Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are considered auspicious days to performing pooja to Ammavaru. Yearly Nookalamma Jathara is the biggest festival celebrated on Kottha Amavasya which comes before Ugadi festival. The biggest festival comes once in a year called Nookalamma Jathara, which is held for a month long. This Nookalamma jathara begins on Kottha Amavasya, which is a day before Ugadi festival, a Telugu New Year. Thousands of pilgrims from neighboring states like Orissa, Telangana, West Bengal and the peoples from nearby villages visit this Jathara to worship Nookambika Devi.

The Devipuram Temple features a great architecture with a 3- dimensional Sri Chakra . It was constructed in the year 1983by Sri Nistala Prahlada Sastry. He is a Nuclear Scientist, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and left his job after a long career of 23 years.

Chodavaram- Karya Sidhi Vinayaka Temple:
The Chodavaram Karya Siddhi Vinayaka temple is situated at Chodavaram village of Anakapalli District is believed to have been built by the Chalukya Cholas around 1200 AD. It is considered one of two self-originating Vinayaka temples in the state, the second one being the Kanipakam temple in Chittor District.
According to the Archaeological experts, both the temples were constructed roughly during the same time by the Chalukya Cholas-roughly 1200 A.D.
